(for Daniel Huws)
Perspective changes in the sight of a poet with her eyes as windows on the world and the door of her tongue inviting or refusing entry to a new habitat.
She sets the rood screen of a lost church as decoration on the building, which will receive the new life of ivy when it becomes a ruin one can pull the rood screen from again to create a modern antiquity, the extended metaphor becoming a frieze on the bleached Parthenon of poetry.
